Fallback Panther

A letter has been sent home from our Superintendent to all of our Panther Families. Read on below for more information.

I am writing to inform you that one of our team members has tested positive for COVID-19. After
contacting the Cochise County Health Department (CCHD) and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to close the campus for the remainder of the week. High School students can access their Edgenuity classes online. K-8 students have been provided with work for the next three days. We all look forward to returning to normal on Monday, September 27th. In order for your child to return on Monday, they must be tested for COVID-19 on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, have a negative result, and not have any symptoms of COVID-19. If you get your student tested and they are positive for COVID-19, please contact me immediately.
For families that do not want to get their child tested, the students can return to class on
Wednesday, September 29th.

Lunch will be provided each day at 11:30am.

We know that having students in class is what is best for everyone and we are hopeful that we can get back to normal soon. We understand that this news can be unsettling and cause for concern. The impact of the COVID-19 virus is a very dynamic and fluid situation. How we address this today may not be the same practice or protocol for future cases. We are in constant contact with public health officials at Cochise County and we will continue to work directly with them and follow their recommendations on containing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are always available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I know that by working together and communicating we will ensure that Bowie Unified School District will remain a great place for students to learn and grow. Thank you for your continued partnership.

For anyone planning to attend the Title 1 Parent Forum, it has been rescheduled for Wednesday,
September 29th at 4:00pm, in the gym.
